With the Northern Ireland Assembly and Council elections taking place in May 2027, we're working to make politics easier to understand and more accessible to everyone.

As part of this initiative, we've distributed an easy-to-read information leaflet across Bangor, explaining voting, common political terms and the roles and responsibilities of councillors and MLAs.

We've also created a series of short videos using everyday situations to explain political terms and encourage greater understanding of the democratic process.

Take a look at our leaflet and visit our social media pages to watch the videos!

Our aim is simple: to help people understand their vote, ask questions and make informed choices.

This is a non-party-political initiative supporting greater understanding and participation in democracy.
